The KG’MG studio was founded by Iurii Kaygorodtsev and Andrii Mogylnyi.
KG’MG works for development of digital (computer) architecture and its translation into reality. The studio takes part in competitions and works with special orders. Besides it continues to develop conducting researches and experiments trying to open new edges in methods of parametric design and searching new technologies and materials.
At the heart of algorithmic methods of designing lays the analysis of existing data (terms) and searching for variations of using them for finding decisions of one or another problem. It is achieved by algorithms which are created by computer programming tools. Digital architecture at the moment gets more and more spread and popularity in the world. However, in the CIS countries and Ukraine in particular parametric architecture yet remains at the level of fantastic ideas which nobody takes in serious. KG’MG puts the breaking of deep-rooted social stereotypes and helping Ukraine to reach the high standard of living as one of its main tasks because architecture always was and remains one of the main instruments of social development.
KG’MG covers all areas of architectural and designing activity: algorithmic modeling in architecture and design of interiors, industrial design, researches.
Picking up the experience of European and American architects KG’MG works for the adaptation of contemporary approaches and methods in difficult economic situation in Ukraine. The studio seeks to make parametric architecture available for everyone.
